Specialist Nursing Recruitment

Nursing Agency Australia: Registered Nurses, Enrolled Nurses and Care Staff

Your roster does not stop at a state border, and neither does our search. NHR recruits nursing and care professionals for providers in Western Australia, New South Wales, the Northern Territory and Tasmania, from our head office in Perth.

NHR Staffing Group (NHR) is a specialist healthcare recruitment agency, and nursing is where most of our briefs begin. We recruit registered nurses, enrolled nurses, assistants in nursing, disability support workers and senior clinical staff for hospitals, aged care providers, NDIS organisations and community health services.

Because NHR recruits in healthcare only, your consultant already understands scope of practice, credentialing and how rosters are built. That means fewer clarifying calls and a shortlist that fits the position, not just the job title.

Roles We Supply

Nursing and Care Roles We Recruit For

Nursing vacancies rarely look the same from one provider to the next, so we recruit across the full clinical range.

Registered Nurses (RNs)

Acute and subacute wards, theatre, emergency, mental health, community and residential aged care.

Enrolled Nurses (ENs)

Medication-endorsed and non-endorsed roles in aged care, rehabilitation, surgical wards and general practice.

AINs and Personal Care Assistants

Residential facilities, in-home care and hospital support teams.

NDIS and Disability Support Workers

Supported independent living, community access and participant-matched support.

Senior and Specialist Nurses

Clinical Nurse Specialists, Clinical Nurse Managers and Nurse Practitioners for lines that are hard to fill locally.

We work on temporary shifts, block bookings, fixed-term contracts and permanent placements, with availability confirmed by state and setting when you brief us.

Where We Operate

Four States and Territories, One Head Office in Perth

Head office in Malaga, Perth. NHR operates in Western Australia, New South Wales, the Northern Territory and Tasmania.

Capital Cities

Perth, Sydney, Darwin and Hobart, where metropolitan hospitals, private facilities and large aged care groups compete for the same nurses.

Regional and Remote Areas

Country hospitals, multi-purpose services and remote communities across our four jurisdictions, where travel, accommodation and contract length shape who can say yes. Tell us the location early and we will brief candidates on those conditions before they commit.

We recruit for these states and territories from our Malaga head office. If your service is in another state, talk to us about what we can offer before you brief us.

How It Works

How We Fill a Nursing Shift

Every provider wants cover they can rely on, so we describe the process and leave the promises out.

  1. You brief us

Give us the role, setting, unit, pattern of work, start date and any site requirements such as orientation or the clinical system in use. A tight brief produces a tight shortlist.

  2. We search our registered pool

We start with nurses and care staff already known to NHR, filtered by discipline, experience and location, before widening the search.

  3. We verify before we present

Registration, qualifications, references, immunisation records and the clearances your role needs are checked before a name is put forward.

  4. You confirm, we coordinate

We handle placement paperwork and onboarding details and stay in contact once the placement starts. You can call us any time, any day, to cover a shift.

Last-minute and same-day requests are part of our everyday work, so brief us as soon as a gap appears. For permanent and fixed-term roles the sequence is the same, with a shortlist and interview stage in place of a shift confirmation.

Compliance

Compliance and Credentialing

An unchecked placement is a risk that sits with your service. Every worker NHR places holds all mandatory compliance checks, including NDIS Worker Screening clearance, a police check, First Aid and Manual Handling. On top of that, we check what each role and setting requires.

  • AHPRA registration for registered and enrolled nurses and nurse practitioners, confirmed as current and matched to the scope of the role.
  • Qualifications verified for the position, including Certificate III or IV for care and support roles.
  • Police check and NDIS Worker Screening held by every worker we place.
  • First Aid and Manual Handling current for every worker we place.
  • Working with Children Check for paediatric and community roles, under the rules of the relevant state or territory.
  • Immunisation and serology records to the standard your facility sets.
  • References from recent supervisors, taken by a consultant who speaks to the referee.

State and territory rules differ, so we confirm the applicable checks against the location as well as the role. We monitor expiry dates on the documents we hold, so a returning nurse does not arrive with a lapsed check.
